Miranda Lambert Announces New Album “Crisco” Out October 2

Miranda Lambert is cooking up a new sound: country-disco crisco! Her new album, “Crisco,” arrives October 2 via MCA.

From dance floors and dive bars to desert highways and kitchen-table conversations, Crisco celebrates the many worlds that have always existed within country music. Written with longtime collaborators Natalie Hemby, Ashley Monroe, Waylon Payne, Aaron Raitiere, Josh Osborne and more, Crisco remains rooted in the storytelling and songwriting tradition that has defined Lambert’s career.

Produced by Lambert and Jesse Frasure, the album embraces every side of Miranda that country music fans love: the storyteller, the wanderer, the romantic, the troublemaker, the traditionalist, and the dreamer. In Crisco‘s 12 tracks, Lambert explores themes of heartbreak, hope, reflection, carefree fun, and more.

“I’ve always loved every corner of country music,” Lambert shares. “The heartbreak songs, the honky-tonk songs, the songs that make you think and the songs that make you dance. Making this record reminded me that those things don’t have to be separated. We followed the songs wherever they wanted to go, trusted our instincts and ended up with something that feels really fun and really honest to who I am.”

The title track “Crisco” perfectly captures that energy. The second song released from the album (following Miranda and Chris Stapleton’s 2025 viral duet “A Song To Sing”), “Crisco” gives a nod to timeless classics “Southern Nights” by Glen Campbell and “Islands In The Stream” by Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton, bridging generations of country music while expanding its boundaries to carve out something entirely fresh.

“It has so many elements of the country music that I love that I’ve never put on tape,” Miranda remarks. “There’s a looseness to it, a joy. It feels like dancing in your kitchen with the person you love, spinning old records, not overthinking a thing.”

Tracks like “Whiskey Business,” “Cuttin’ Onions,” “Cowgirl Curtsy,” and “Two Things Can Be True” showcase Lambert’s wit, vulnerability, and wisdom.

The Texas native released her latest single “Till The Going’s Gone” today, June 26, giving fans another taste of Crisco: an album honoring country music’s past while following new inspirations wherever they lead.
