Ella Langley keeps making history! “Choosin’ Texas” hits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the tenth week while “Be Her” holds No. 2 for the second week. Only 4% of Hot 100 No. 1’s reach the 10 week milestone!
Additionally, “Choosin’ Texas” now tops the Hot Country Songs chart for the 25th week. This achievement makes “Choosin’ Texas” one of four songs to rule the Hot 100 for ten or more weeks and be in the Hot Country Songs top 5! The three other songs to do this are Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” for 19 weeks in 2024-2025, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” for 16 weeks in 2023, and Debby Boone’s “You Light Up My Life” for 10 weeks in 1977.
That’s not all, Langley makes even more history by being the first country music artist ever to claim the Billboard Hot 100’s top two spots simultaneously for multiple weeks. By claiming the top two spots for a second week, she officially breaks Morgan Wallen’s record from 2025. Wallen had the top two spots for one week last year after the release of his album I’m The Problem.
Langley had a historic weekend sweeping the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, winning all 7 of her nominations, including Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Artist-Songwriter of the Year, and Music Event of the Year. She now sets the record for the most wins in a year by a solo artist! Ella also performed a beautiful acoustic version of her song “Be Her” at the awards.
Congratulations Ella on an incredible week!
