Emo cowgirls, the day you’ve been waiting for is almost here! “Traitor” is coming to streaming platforms this Friday.

Until this weekend, “Traitor” has been a bonus song available only on physical copies of Megan’s Cloud 9 album. Fans have been consistently asking Megan to put this one on streaming. They have obsessively loved the song ever since its first tease on TikTok several months ago, and they are eager to add this one to their playlists!

The “6 Months Later” songstress did not expect her fans to love the bonus song as much as they did, since it did not make the original album tracklist. However, she gladly added “Traitor” to her 9 Cities In 9 Days mini tour back in February.

Moroney shared the news on social media in a tour rehearsal photo dump, captioning the post: “rehearsals are complete✅ 17 days until opening night! which means u have 17 days to learn a new song! swipe for a surprise ;)”

The last slide of the post is a screenshot of a text exchange, with Moroney saying “sooo traitor? on streaming platforms? this friday???”

As anticipated, the emo cowgirls are so excited! If they don’t already know the words already, there is no doubt they will be ready for Megan’s Cloud 9 Tour May 29. The arena tour kicks off in Columbus, Ohio and runs through October 1.

Before kicking off tour, Megan Moroney leads the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards nominations with nine. Moroney’s nominations include Entertainer of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Event of the Year. The ACM Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas this Sunday, March 17 on Prime Video.
