Megan Moroney had a full circle moment this week, performing “Wonder” at her best friend Natalie King’s wedding! Natalie married Alex Harp in a beautiful ceremony in Turks and Caicos at Prince’s former estate.
Megan and Natalie met their freshman year of college at the University of Georgia, becoming sorority sisters in Kappa Delta. Moroney served as Maid of Honor in the wedding party.
“I’ve played this song a lot but I think this will be the most meaningful time I play it. For those of you that don’t know, the first song I ever released was a song written for Natalie,” Megan told the wedding guests. “She was trying to date some loser. In the song, I’m telling Natalie, ‘If you just hold out, you’re gonna find someone that’s gonna show up early, and you’re never gonna have to wonder how he feels about you.’”
“I definitely think with Alex you found that,” Moroney said, smiling at Natalie.
Moroney released “Wonder” as her debut single in 2021. The song is a fan favorite, a positive reminder that when you find the right guy, you won’t feel uneasy in your relationship. Natalie is living proof of the song’s message, your right one will come along!
